Step back in time and experience the rich history and traditions of the Amish community at the Illinois Amish Heritage Center. Located just east of Arthur, the Living History Farm and Amish Museum spans seven acres and features historic buildings, including the oldest Amish house in Illinois, the 1865 Moses Yoder House, and the 1882 Daniel Schrock House. The center is also developing a 10,000-square-foot Visitor Center and Amish Museum that will further enhance the visitor experience.

Visitors can explore exhibits that tell the story of the Amish settlement established in 1865 and gain a deeper understanding of the culture, faith, and traditions that continue to shape Illinois Amish Country. Throughout the year, the Heritage Center hosts special events such as Steam Threshing Days, Horse Days, educational programs, and seasonal celebrations that bring history to life through hands-on demonstrations and interactive experiences.
